Make summer memories in Kent with fun, easy-to-plan activities like these:
Tap into tradition: Agriculture to adrenaline
The Kent Valley has a long agricultural history. Enjoy an abundance of fresh produce, flowers and other products at one of the largest farmers markets in the area.
Across town from the hardworking tractors are the horsepower-heavy motorsports at Pacific Raceways. The family-owned track opened in 1960 and hosts hot rods, dragsters and car shows throughout the summer.
Summer fun is easy to find at events that are favorites of Kent residents and longtime visitors alike:
- Kent Farmers Market, June 17-Sept. 9
- Kent Cornucopia Days, July 14-16
- Flav-r-Pac NHRA Northwest Nationals, July 21-23
- Cajun Fest 2023, Aug. 19
- Reds Wine Bar: wine tasting on Wednesdays, and Mingo (music bingo) most Sundays
Soak in the summer sounds
Outdoor performances are a great way to enjoy PNW summers. The City of Kent offers a concert series with three main events, including family-friendly entertainment. A big country music show is coming to town July 8, and there’s live music every Friday at the golf course pub.
