Day 1
Launch your hockey-themed visit by getting on the ice yourself. Kent Valley Ice Centre has public skating sessions throughout the day. Rent skates, helmets and other gear on-site.
After that icy outing, it’s time for a chilled beverage at nearby egghole. Choose from the wall of beer taps, a colorful energy drink or hot coffee. Stay for dinner: egg sandwiches are served all day, as are burgers and hollandaise-topped fries. Or, take a short drive to Fil Cuisine. The casual, friendly restaurant features Filipino favorites like deep-fried pork belly and sisig, fried rice and lumpia.
Time for puck drop! The Seattle Thunderbirds, a Western Hockey League team, fire up fans at accesso ShoWare Center in Kent. Every seat has a great view of the action. Check the schedule for home ice action from late September to March.

Day 2
Greet the day at Naya’s Café. Hearty servings, friendly staff and reasonable prices make Naya’s a favorite stop. Open at 6 a.m. weekdays, 7 a.m. on weekends.
After your morning fuel-up, fill up on thrills at the go-kart track. PGP Motorsports is open rain or shine for 13-minute sessions around the .82-mile track. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
Looking for a slower speed? Check out the Bricks & Wheels store. LEGO sets, parts pieces galore will inspire your creativity and add to your home collection.
Consider lunch at the nearby Four Horsemen Brewery. Kids and dogs are welcome at this rural setting for craft beer and sodas, and a fresh menu of burgers, waffle fries, quesadillas and more. Eat inside, or enjoy the farm surroundings with the covered, heated outdoor seating.
Kent is a convenient basecamp for a day trip to Seattle. Head north by car, commuter train or bus to visit Seattle Center and the iconic Space Needle. You’ll be in the right place for the evening’s Seattle Kraken hockey game at Climate Pledge Arena.
