How to Support the Community While Social Distancing:
In Kent, food unites us. And now our local restaurants and shops need your support.
- Eat local: order take-out or delivery for your next meal
- Shop small: buy gift cards online at your favorite restaurants and shops for future use
- Stay Kent: recreate responsibly by walking, riding or rolling from home, and take advantage of Kent’s virtual fun from the comforts of your own home

Anytime Tacos & Teriyaki
Time is blending together the longer we stay home, work from home, do school from home (Is it sill Monday? Who knows!?). During this time, Taco Tuesday and Teriyaki Thursday can be any day of the week—we give you permission.

Virtual Art Lessons & Baguettes
Spark your creativity while social distancing with online art lessons from Artsy Fartsy! And for extra arty flair, pair a French baguette from Macrina Bakery to snack on. C’est la vie!
Space and Sip for the Family
Grab some beers from Airways Brewing for you and queue up Story Time from Space for the little ones. We recommend the Jumbo Jet IPA or Pre-Flight Pilsner. Relax as Astronauts read books, and provide online science-based activities for all ages.
Fun fact: three of the Kent-built Lunar Rovers remain on the moon today and were designated as historic landmarks in July 2019!

Meet Kent’s Tastemakers

Q: What is your favorite dish you serve?
A: That's not a fair question, there are many of them. But if I have to mention a couple I would have to say Enchiladas Blancas with Brussels Sprouts, and the Beer-Braised Black Beans, or Tres Quesos (three cheese) Agave Nachos.
Q: What is your favorite comfort food, activity or recommendation? What makes you feel better when times are tough?
A: When times are tough I get Tacos—one of my “go-to foods.” My favorite activities are going to the gym and running, which makes me feel better and helps me relax.
Q: What else should we know about your restaurant?
A: Agave is one of Kent's favorite restaurants. We have two patios—one of them is covered, heated and enclosed. We also have a full bar, and we are family friendly and affordable in today's world.
The best way to get a gift card is to stop by and purchase it on site, or call us. You can specify the gift card amount and pay for it over the phone, and we can ship send it to you or your loved ones.

Q: Do you have any positive stories about the Kent community that come to mind? Please share.
A: I have appreciated the Kent community continuing to support my business during this difficult time. Several customers have come in and have stated they know I'm a new business and they want to help keep me open. I was so touched.
Q: What is your favorite comfort food, activity or recommendation? What makes you feel better when times are tough?
A: My Sweet Shop is reminiscent of my childhood. I serve cotton candy because it was one of my favorite sweets to get at the Del Mar Fair as a kid. We often went to the movies as a kid, so we also serve 20 different flavors of gourmet popcorn.
Q: What else should we know about your restaurant?
A: Customers can order on my website or call us at (253) 277-2516. We usually offer cake and cookie decorating classes in our store but are now offering kits that our customers can take home.
