When in Kent, eat like the locals. From hearty breakfasts to international fare, and locally sourced food paired with Kent’s own craft beer, you can’t go wrong when you pull up a chair at one of these hometown favorites. Bring your appetite. You’re in for a treat.

Breakfast
Golden Steer Steak ‘n Rib House. Don’t let the name fool you. This Kent staple is famous for its breakfast menu, featuring waffles, omelets and classic combos. You haven’t seen the likes of their generous Sunday brunch buffet since 1978.

Lunch
The Airways Brewing and Bistro & Beer Garden. Locally sourced food and locally brewed beer. What more could you ask for? This favorite downtown Kent destination offers creative Northwest fare made from simple ingredients—from baked goods fresh from Kent’s own Macrina Bakery to seafood from Taylor’s Shellfish in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. Oh…they also serve Airways award-winning craft beer. It’s all good.

Dinner
Agave Cocina and Cantina at Kent Station. This contemporary restaurant and tequila bar is famous for its handcrafted Mexican food and signature wood-fired selections using fresh, natural ingredients. There’s also a lot of deliciousness on tap in the bar, including signature margaritas, local beers and craft beverages.

Dessert
Macrina Bakery. Based on the model of a traditional, old-world village bakery, Macrina’s artisanal baked goods are created from local, natural ingredients. Nutella brioche, Budapest coffee cake and orange hazelnut pinwheels are just a sweet sampling from the menu.

That’s just the beginning.
